As I was packing and trying to decide what to take to California, I realized all the shoes I packed were Birks and Birk lookalikes! For every single outfit I planned, my Birks were part of the ensemble. No high heels on this trip!
To think that if you would have EVER asked me a couple years ago, “would you wear Birkenstocks,” my reply would have been “you’ll NEVER catch me wearing those.” Oh, how times have changed. Now I love them! They’ve been my go-to shoe this summer. I even have my husband wearing them.
Today I’m sharing some of the outfits I planned for my trip to CA. I wanted to keep them simple, chic and of course comfortable. Plus I wanted to share what a great find these two skirts were! I LOVE finding great deals, but more so, sharing them with you.
On a side note, I’m so proud of myself, as I’m beginning to learn not to overpack, something I’ve been known to be really good at.
Now I just sort my outfits before hand, for each day/evening. Of course I always throw in an extra outfit or pair of shoes. It’s less frustrating for me, as I was coming back home and unpacking items I never even used. Which sometimes were many outfits and shoes! For this trip, my suitcase was half empty. Two thumbs up for that!!
