Recently my husband and I attended a wine tasting event at Ruth’s Chris with some friends. I wanted to wear something fun, and fashionable. I recently purchased several patterned pants at Forever 21 which I am totally in love with, you will find similar ones here and here . They are all made of a soft material, very comfortable and the patterns are fun. I decided to match it up with an inexpensive sweater from H&M and last but not least some Nine West booties, which I purchased from 6pm.com and my favorite chunky necklace that I purchased on eBay for around 4 bucks! Love a great deal! Vintage Fur Fox was also a great find on eBay.
Through out the evening we enjoyed different wines from Napa Valley and a fantastic five course meal –
First Course: Roasted Asparagus & Herbed Goat Cheese Arugula, mustard vinaigrette, kalamata olives
Paired with Beringer Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Second Course: Snow Crab Bisque Spiked with brandy & chardonnay, garlic croutons
Paired with St. Clement Napa Valley Chardonnay
Third Course: Warm Cremini Mushroom Tart Balsamic beurre blanc, spring vegetable chutney
Paired with Etude Carneros Pinot Noir
Fourth Course: Filet Mignon with Cabernet Onions served sizzling with butter and parsley
Paired with Stags’ Leap Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Accompaniments: Creamed spinach with bleu cheese gratinée & Pecan crusted sweet potato casserole
Dessert: Cheesecake Brûlée Chewy gooey chocolate-walnut cookie, rhubarb compote, strawberry sauce Paired with Beringer Nightingale Semillon Sauvignon-Blanc
Not sure if this Event is still going on at your local Ruth’s Chris, but if it is, I highly recommend it!!!!!
