It’s my birthday month and I have all kinds of feels. I’ll be spending my birthday in quarantine, but it’s all good. I’m just grateful for another new year.
It will definitely be a memorable one.
We went to Trader Joe’s yesterday to pick up a few things. It was the first time in over a month I was going inside a store.
My husband and I were prepared, masks and rubber gloves in hands. We headed to the side of the building to get in line to enter the store. Everyone was six feet away from each other, I was actually farther. The gentleman in front of us was sneezing and coughing, removing his mask, rubbing his nose and trying to have a conversation with us. Really? It could have been allergies (I suffer from them) but I was trying to stay as far away as possible from him. Nope, I didn’t want to talk. I was just trying to go in, get what I needed and back out.
I was surprised by the amount of people of all ages who were walking around with no mask and were not complying with the social distancing rule.
Are we overreacting? I think we were the only ones there with rubber gloves on. We immediately removed them once we were done in the store. Talk about stressful. How in the world am I going to go inside the salon to get my hair cut once it opens? #justbreathe
I’m prepared though, I’ve purchased several cute masks. I mean, if we have to wear them, they might as well be cute.
Talking about cute, I also purchased this jogger set while in quarantine. Joggers were a hit before all this happened and now with all the time we have been spending at home, they have been selling out fast.
An elastic waist is key right now with all the junk we’ve been eating.
This set is so comfortable and perfect to lounge around. They didn’t have my size pants, so I just purchased a bigger size. I can try to shrink them a bit. So if you’re looking for comfortable outfits for home, joggers is the way to go. ASOS has several cute styles available.
I’m now looking for a white pair. If I find them, I’ll share with you.
As I work on this post, my darling husband is watching a Covid-19 symptoms video. Seriously, I don’t want to know or hear anything related.

Happy birthday month, I hope you enjoyed your day even in quarantine. You got it right to be thankful for another year regardless of COVID-19. About your Trader Joe shopping experience, I had the same experience here in Montgomery, AL. And we are the new HOT SPOT FOR THE COVID-19 increase in cases and death. AND THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE NOT WEARING MASKS OR GLOVES AND LITTLE SOCIAL DISTANCE. VERY SCARY. I don’t feel bad for wearing my mask and gloves, you may can get away without the gloves BUT you have to remember to wash your hands. Like Oprah said, we will have to look out for our selves because it is crazy the way people are responding to this COVID-19. I make know apologizes for wearing my protective gear regardless of what other people think about it, if they decide not to wear a mask than it is fine by me, BUT AS FOR ME I am wearing my mask and protecting me. I follow the CDC guidelines and I went and got my hair done with my mask and no gloves. I was stared at when I walked in but again I don’t care, because the women there did not have masks on. This COVID-19 is not going any where soon and I DON’T WANT IT. So do what is best for you and your family and not by what others are doing or not doing. You are a smart, beautiful and intelligent women and will make her decision based on what is safe and best for her family.

Hello. I hope you are well. I’m going to continue practicing safety measures because it give me peace of mind. I still stress when someone is close to me at the stores. I’m wearing my mask and thank goodness I wear glasses. If not I assure you I would be the one wearing a protective shield. 🙃
