Another Vintage Levi 501 Look

Sharing with you another vintage, Levi 501 look.

Many of you are asking questions about my Levi’s, so I’m going to share with you some savvy, purchase tips.

Most of my finds are from eBay. I refuse to pay the sky-high prices most online stores sell them for. I search and read the description on each item I’m interested in. These jeans, sometimes measure smaller than the actual size. That’s why the sellers sometimes includes the true waist size.

Levi’s 501 are loose fit, so take this into consideration, when selecting your size. I always purchase bigger sizes. Simply because I like the bigger, baggier fit.

Now for the wear and tear of the jeans. You will find them available in all styles. Which is your favorite? I love the distressed, worned look; gives the jeans some character. The ones in the above picture, are one of my dressier pair.

The length. I always roll them up, so I don’t worry about this too much. If you want the raw hem, just take the hem apart and wash them a few times. That’s how I got the look on this pair.

Then you have these. I purchased this pair a few weeks ago and they may be one of my favorites. Torn, distressed and slightly stained.

Don’t get discouraged, if initially you can’t find a pair you love, new jeans are continuously added on eBay. And don’t pay a crazy amount for them, I’ve never paid more than $20.00 for a pair. Remember, if they accept offers, send one in. It might be accepted.

Don’t forget to check your local thrift stores. I’ve found the best deals at thrift shops. Last pair that my husband snagged from my closet, were $4.49. #winning
