Hola Fashionistas.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. I’m back and all settled in, from our trip to Hawaii, for our son’s wedding.
It was wonderful to get away, enjoy the sunshine and smell the ocean; the island girl in me finds it refreshing and rejuvenating to breathe in the fresh ocean air, especially when you’re living in wonderful Minnesota.
The first couple of days were busy with wedding rehearsals, meeting for dinner and my husband preparing to officiate the wedding. However, we did manage to go to the beach/pool twice (didn’t go in past my ankles, the water was freezing cold) and walked around Waikiki Beach. We did find two places you must visit if you ever travel to Hawaii, Roy’s, for the best ribs and pineapple martini’s and Duke’s, for some delicious Calamari and Duke’s Nachos.
Unfortunately, our hotel had a Louis Vuitton store a couple of feet away and I did some major damage (sharing on a later post). Thank you Kayla, for your exceptional service, you ladies were gracious and so very helpful.
The wedding was beautiful, met new family members and enjoyed time spent with our kids. It was great to get away, but as the saying goes, “there’s no place like home.”
Blessings.

A village of Hilton Resorts, with sweet shops.
It was quite busy and very crowded, but a great place to stay, if you don’t mind crowds. If we’re ever back in Hawaii, we’ll be staying at the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel. The location was fantastic, beach area was beautiful and Duke’s restaurant is on the premises, for great dining and drinks.
This was on one of the military bases. The beach was beautiful, even on somewhat of a cloudy day.
Day one.
Wedding rehearsal. The view was spectacular.
Do you all remember Jurassic Park and Lost? Yes, some scenes were filmed here.

How gorgeous is this?
After much searching, I found the perfect dress for a Hawaiian wedding. I know many of you loved it, so I’ll share the link. Some of you may have already found it. 🙂
Eliza J Scarf Print Woven Maxi Dress – Nordstrom
Yes, I was twirling in my dress.
As you can see wearing heels with the dress, was not an option, my orange Birkenstock did save the day. Comfortable and great dancing shoe!

Let’s make being joyous, contagious (even if your photograper didn’t tell you your undergarment was showing).
Headwrap/Bangles – Fanm Djanm | Dress – Forever21 | Fringe Purse – ASOS (old)
Loving my Fanm Djanm headwrap.
